Yesterday was my birthday!

Well yesterday was my birthday. I turned 30. So now apparently I'm old. Was a good day, I went to work, did some stuff, went to the pub for lunch. Came back from the pub and had to go to a training course for 2 hours. Did some more work, then went home. Rowena bought me Splinter Cell for the Wii :) Was playing that last night. Looks like a good game. Then we went to dinner at the steak house.

One thing about Rocky. They know how to make a good steak, considering it is/was the beef capital of Australia they should be able to!

Tomorrow is turning out to be a big day.

Tomorrow looks to be a big day. First my ISP (http://www.internode.on.net) are releasing new plans which means I can go from 1.5Mb/s to 8Mb/s and being under 1km from the rim there's a chance that I will beable to get the full 8 meg!.

Tomorrow also marks MacWorld keynote where Steve Jobs dishes out all the goodies for this quarter. Just what we need more things to spend money on!.

And the new WoW patch came out for TBC. So thats something else that'll make tomorrow entertaining. Patch day always means break all the mods day. So we'll see how that one goes.

It's offical. I'm certifiable!

Today I received my redhat goodies for sitting and passing my RHCE exam. They sent me a t-shirt and a placemat (it is a certificate, but it's a hard plastic that makes it look like a placemat).

So it's offical. I'm certifiable!

Cats can be very smart.

About 2 weeks ago one of our cats lost her collar when she was outside playing. We looked everywhere for it and couldn't find it. So we bought her a new one. The next day she went outisde to play and... came back with no collar. This was a growing trend.

So we went and got yet another collar this one one that couldn't be removed so easily. We also spent the next 3 days telling her how bad she was for loosing her collar. So on the 4th day I hear her come in from outside meowing like mad like something was wrong. So I've walked out and she's dropped her 2nd colar on the floor infront of me.

I'm unsure if she didn't like the new collar or what. But she now has her old collar on and hasn't lost it since.

Black Cockatoos Destory a Tree

Yesterday at work I watched some black cockatoos strip a tree of most of it's leave. It was very impressive and scary. I took some photos of them in the morning when I arrived because they looked good in the tree. Then by the afternoon I took some more photos to do a comparison shot. Here is what I ended up with:

The branch in the bottom photo that goes up to the right is the one they were sitting on in the top photo. But as you can see, the poor tree has been left naked! Here is what the ground under the tree looked like.

The ground between the camera and the chain that you see going off at the back should be gray gravel, but it's covered in tree bits.

My Mage hit 60 today!

Today marks the day that I have my 2nd level 60 character in World of Warcraft. I spent most of last night griding furby rep and didn't realise i was 3 kills from leveling. So I went to bed. Woke up this morning and realised I had 1k of XP until i hit 60. So that went pretty quickly. Now I can be a waterboy too!

And on a sader note. I have the 17-19th off work. Totaly unrealated to the expansion of WoW coming out I assure you.....

A new day a new blog

Another day and another blog. How boring right. I agree, but everyone else had a blog and I think this is about the 3rd I've started and just never continue to use. Hopefully this one will be the lucky one!. Anymore more to come. Just needed a test post.
